Massoud Moussavi, PhD, applies artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to solve business problems and improve decision making in social and economic development fields. He has more than 25 years of experience with international organizations and private sector companies where he has developed solutions and products ranging from education planning to risk assessment in banking to agriculture. He has also been a Resident Scholar at the American University, and a Visiting Scientist at Schlumberger Cambridge Research, an international oil and gas services company.

Amy Suski

Amy Suski has more than 20 years of broad experience including providing legal advice and regulatory analysis for businesses, trade associations, and non-profit organizations. She is the founder of Actuator Editorial Services, serving academic publishers, universities, and researchers. Previously she worked in Washington, D.C., as a business litigation attorney and an environmental regulatory analyst for chemical trade associations, water districts, and the oil & gas industry. Ms. Suski received her B.A. from Wellesley College and J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Hany Besada

Hany Besada

Dr. Hany Besada, a senior advisor to Causal Links, is the Senior Research/Programme Advisor of the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), UN Development Programme (UNDP) and Senior Research Fellow at the United Nations University, Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA). Dr. Besada has published extensively on international development issues including governance, climate change, peace and education, and natural resources. He has a PhD in Politics and International Studies from University of Warwick.

Karolina Werner

Karolina Werner

Karolina Werner is advisor at Causal Links and Theme Leader, Conflict, Security, and Natural Resources at the Institute for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development. She holds a PhD in Global Governance from the Balsillie School of International Affairs and specializes in governance, inclusion, and peace and conflict, especially in the context of sub-Saharan Africa. She has previously held appointments at the University of Ottawa, Centre for International Governance Innovation, United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA). Dr. Werner has worked on projects funded by United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, United Nations University (UNU), and the Qatar Foundation among others.

Saeid Saidi

Saeid Saidi

Saeid Saidi, a fellow of Causal Links, is a Postdoctoral Associate at the Institute for Data, Systems and Society (IDSS) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a member of the MIT Transit Lab. His main research activities are on transportation network modeling, public transportation planning and operation, and big data analytics using mobility sensing data. At MIT, Dr. Saidi is working on different applications of big data analytics in transportation systems to create actionable intelligence for cities and transportation agencies.

She has been recognized as a leading Information Technology and Sourcing lawyer by Legal 500 USand Chambers USA. Ms. Baldia was previously a partner at other law firms in Washington, DC, and an associate professor of law. She has been a visiting scholar to the Max Planck Institute on innovation in Munich, Germany, Cambridge University in England, and the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology in Tokyo, Japan.
